Principles

What Simca is built around

Principles quoted or closely paraphrased from the project README, plus the launcher and free-start decisions. They are intentions for a product that does not exist yet.

1. No cloud required

Each store owns its data on its own devices.

2. No telemetry and no data collection

The README states it plainly. A shipped app would need to prove it; this site makes no claim beyond the principle.

3. Cash-first

Yape and Plin are recorded manually; cards go only through the phone's Tap to Pay (NFC) via a provider. No card scanning or OCR.

4. Buy once, or an optional yearly fee

Buy once and keep it forever, or pay the optional yearly fee for updates and the co-op. Prices are not published and are not in the repository.

5. Free start (ADR-0002)

Users start free. A flat quarterly fee would apply only after the business reaches a profit threshold that is measured locally from its own books; nothing is reported. The threshold and the definition of profit are open and no amount is shown. ADR-0002 does not say how this relates to the README's buy-once wording; the owner needs to confirm the public model.

6. Fair pricing

Paying users bear about ten times the cost of running the business. The price falls for everyone as the network grows. No percentage of revenue is ever taken.

7. Reliability over speed

Redundancy and failsafes are worth a fraction of a millisecond.

8. Platforms in order

Windows, then Android and iOS phones, tablets, Linux.

9. Brand

Rally bars in black, pink, tangerine and yellow (this site's mark is an original drawing, not an official logo file).

10. Launcher and elements (ADR-0001)

One launcher, optional user-initiated signed updates, no roles or separate builds, and a website that is a front door only.
